Gas Mask America

This is a painting I did while reading too much Pynchon. Oh, and the anthrax threat was at it's peak. It was meant to be a have a sister painting, but that didn't happen. View here.

Diallo

This is a painting inspired by the Diallo shooting.
Acrylic on wood.
I found the board it is painted on in a church that was falling apart in Allston, MA.

Princess Games

A painting for a children's book. Alas, the story never came to me. Any ideas?
Acrylic on mat board. You can view here.

Little Glass Of Wine

This is a painting I did a few years back. It is an illustration of the Stanley Brothers song, "Little Glass Of Wine". At the time I was obsessed with the Harry Smith Anthology. I loved how every song told a simple American story very oddly. So I painted the heroine of the song in a kimono. The painting is on paper. I was going to the world market a lot at the time and they wrapped all the breakables in delicate printed paper. I used clear gesso to fix them together on canvas frames and used acrylic paint for the image. I still enjoy this little jaunt. You can view it a larger version here.
